I believe this waterproof match safe is nickel plated. It belonged to my late husband's grandfather, so I would guesstimate that it is at the very least, 60 years old. The bottom (sorry I can't get a clear picture) reads MARBLE'S GLADSTONE, MICH. U.S.A. PAT'D 1900. It can be picked up in Vineland
